Bio
Raised on an old farm in the Lake Champlain Islands of Vermont, Evan Alsop's songs reflect the raw sensitivity and subtle power of his untamed surroundings. The natural elements are brought to life through an alchemy of intricate fingerstyle guitar woven with lyrics which permeate the deepest chambers of the human heart.
Armed with a gentle assertiveness, Alsop aims to shake the world free of its divisions and dogmas. At an artistically mature age of thirty-three, his forthcoming studio album titled, 'Middle Heaven' stands primed to do just that.
Now awaiting release, 'Middle Heaven' is the fruition of a serendipitously inspired collaboration with his friend and producer Ari Abedon at his studio in Burlington VT. The record is graced by an array of highly esteemed Vermont musicians and encapsulates a pinnacle point in Alsop's musical journey; marking both an attainment of his artistic voice and a strong command over his craft as a songwriter.
Cutting his teeth playing countless shows for over a decade; during his live performances Evan exhibits the art of luring an audience in through a mix of warm vulnerability and musical prowess. One enjoyable learning experience was sharing the stage opening for GUSTER on the Burlington VT waterfront.
His two prior releases are a debut EP professionally recorded in Nashville TN in 2018 titled 'Little Barn Songs,' followed by an intimate home recording called 'Variations on a Dream' released in 2025.
Middle Heaven will be released in stages over the spring and summer of 2026. Passenger, the lead single is out everywhere June 5th.
